Before your appointment

Once you complete your free consultation, you will be sent additional information forms that must be completed before your scheduled appointment. These forms are helpful in understanding what you have been managing on your own and what you need help with.

During your appointment

Leading up to your first appointment, you might feel nervous, and that’s okay! Know that the first few sessions are just about learning what’s been going on, how long you’ve been managing this challenge, and getting to know you. We’ll go at your pace, and check in with how the process feels.

  • During your first session, your therapist will get to know you and understand your concerns. It’s a chance for you to share what brings you to therapy, your goals, and any past experiences that may be relevant. The initial session is about building a comfortable space for you and your therapist to work together.

  • Typically, therapy sessions last around 50 minutes. However, session length can be adjusted based on your needs and the nature of the therapy. Your therapist will discuss this with you to ensure that each session is productive and meets your goals.

  • The number of sessions varies depending on your unique needs and goals. Some clients benefit from a few sessions, while others may find long-term therapy more suitable. During the initial sessions, your therapist will discuss a potential plan with you based on your progress and preferences.

  • Yes, your privacy is a priority. All sessions are confidential, and information shared during therapy is protected by law. There are some exceptions, such as if there is a risk of harm to yourself or others, which will be explained in detail during your first session.

  • Each type of therapy offers unique benefits. Individual therapy is great for personal challenges or self-growth, couples therapy focuses on relationship issues, and group therapy allows for shared experiences in a supportive community. Your therapist can help you decide which option aligns best with your needs.

  • Currently we are private pay. We are happy to provide a superbill for you to send to your insurance for potential reimbursement. Please also reach out to ask about sliding scale openings!

  • Absolutely. Therapy can provide you with tools and techniques to manage stress and anxiety, helping you understand triggers, develop coping strategies, and work through challenging emotions. Many clients find that regular therapy significantly improves their ability to manage stress and live a more balanced life.

  • Scheduling an appointment is simple. You can use our online booking system, give us a call, or send an email. Our team will assist you in finding a time that works best for you.

  • We understand that life can be unpredictable. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please contact us at least 24 hours in advance to avoid a cancellation fee. This policy helps us provide availability to other clients who may need support.
